The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) has announced the selection of 31 regions as Tech Hubs in the first phase of the new program, aimed at boosting regional innovation, job creation, and technology deployment to enhance American competitiveness. These Tech Hubs aim to drive investment in technologies crucial for economic growth, national security, and job creation, with a focus on transforming U.S. regions into globally competitive innovation centers. Petersburg, a member of the Alliance for Building Better Medicine, is part of the region set to benefit from this initiative, creating opportunities for the pharmaceutical industry’s growth and economic development in the city.
