The Alliance for Building Better Medicine, a coalition of public and private stakeholders in the Richmond-Petersburg region, has been awarded a federal grant of $52,942,702 from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) through the Build Back Better Regional Challenge. The EDA’s initiative aims to bolster the economic recovery and rebuilding of American communities by strengthening high-tech regional industry clusters while promoting economic equity, well-paying jobs, and meeting national interests. This grant will be matched by $13,339,919 in funding from private and public organizations, resulting in a total investment of $77,792,402.
